I figured it was about time I posted someting so instead of the nice long informative post I had been doing this is going to be very short, sweet and to the point.
We're just about fully moved into our new place. So far, we are very happy with it. We knew that it was bigger on paper, but couldn't belive how much room we have. Moving went well, but like always we had our problems.
Friday I took off at noon and made one trip with my Explorer. Then I went to Pella to borrow a truck, but got caught up in a problem I needed to take care of that took about and hour. After than we got a good chunk of stuff moved.
Saturday morning we got up w/o any alarm and got started. We lefted all the packed boxes at the new place so shortly after breakfast Melissa was going to take the cats over and unpack the boxes while I continued to load the box truck. Shortly after Melissa had left, I took another load down to the truck only to find her on the verge of tears saying, "I'm sorry." I shortly found out that she backed out and hit a car, or should I say while she was backing out a car hit her. The jury's still out. Finally after we had exchanged information with the other driver Melissa needed to get over to the new place as the cable guy was suppose to be there.
Our cable guy was suppose to be there at 2:00 and I was ready for the boxes Melissa was going to bring back after she had unpacked them. I called Comcast and was simply told that the tech would call before he would arrive. I told Melissa she should just head home 'cause we had no idea when the guy would finally show up. Around 2:45 I finally rec'd a call stating that the tech would be there w/in 30mins. I attempted to call Melissa with no success... big suprise, but upon more trips to the truck I heard my name!? "Don't you answer your phone?" I asked as I'm met with tears and frustration. I find out that Melissa somehow locked the cats in the bedroom and couldn't get back in. I calmed her down and told her not to worry, but she needed to get back 'cause the cable guy was on his way. I told her that I would pack up the boxes she brought and then head over myself.
I arrived before the cable guy and started working on the door. Everything I tried didn't work and was frustrated me was that the other bedroom door was easy to unlock from the "wrong side". To make a long story short, when the cable guy came he was not only able to hook up our cable, but also get into the door in less than a minute.
Work is good but busy as came be. I need to find better ways to be productive so I can more easily keep up with everything I want to do.
