SUBJECT: Many updates - Vaction in WI

Well I know it's been while since I posted and it's due to too many things happening so let's see if we can get everyone up-to-date.

To rewind a bit. Our 10th anniversary trip to Crozet for off-roading was great. I'm not going to post too much since you can find the details in my offroad/trips section.

Upon arriving home I wasn't feeling the best, but figured that it was just due to the long wet and hot weekend that we had had. Sunday night/Monday morning I began vommiting. At first this was great since it made me feel so much better. When Tuesday came and I wasn't feeling better, in fact, probably worse I knew that a hospital visit was probably on it's way. Sure enough, Melissa urged me to go and I mostly willingly accepted 'cause I new that something needed to be done and I just didn't have the strength to fight anymore.
Melissa had found information about a mobile health care facility called the Care-A-Van. We went there and, long story short, we told we needed to goto St. Mary's Hospital. The doctor at the Care-A-Van told use that because I didn't have insurance my hospital bills would be taken care of but we would need to cover the doctors fees.
At the hospital they ran through there numberous questions and tests. It was about 3:00am when I finally decided to give up fighting to stay awake and let myself get some sleep despite the nurse poking my finger every half-hour or hour to see where my blood sugar level was at. Wednesday morning I woke up feeling much better. I ate breakfast which wasn't very good but at least it was food and it stayed down. Lunch came and despite being hungry it sucked again and I didn't eat all of it. I was finally discharged later in the afternoon with energy to burn.
Once we got home I asked Melissa to get a Pizza since I was hungry and wanted something that tasted good for a change. She got one and to my disappointment it still didn't taste good and I wasn't able to eat like I normally do. It took until Saturday until I felt at 100%

No sooner out of the hospital than we needed to get ready to fly home on Thursday. Still being a bit under the weather, Melissa took care of almost everything. We didn't get the apartment at clean as we wanted and my truck was still packed from camping but at least we were able to head home.
Our flight from Pennsylvainia was delayed between an hour or two which got us into Milwaukee later than expected but Andrea was patiently waiting for us.

Friday morning. Up early so that Melissa could get off to her dress fittng. I headed home for a quick visit with the folks until Matt and Doug picked me up so that we could get our tuxes and BS a while before the wedding rehursal and dinner. The rehursal went well followed by a good meal at The Roxy in Oshkosh. After dinner the plan was to hang out at Doug's mother's business and see if the ghost made its presence. While I was at the rehursal and dinner Melissa was having her wedding shower and my Aunt wanted to get a picture of the two of us so I proceeded home and visited with them for about an hour before heading back into Oshkosh. On my way back in I called Matt to find out what the plan was and he said he was heading off to bed so that he could get some decent sleep before his wedding. I decided to do the same since I was just recently in the hospital and could use the sleep myself. On my way back to Melissa's house to drop her off we stopped at The Bar in Oshkosh to check up on my father since he was at a retirement party for a guy that he started with back in 1964... I think. My Dad was in true form and was quick excited to see me since he hadn't since I arrived in Oshkosh. After a brief stay there I made arraingement for my mother to pick my Dad up from the bar (since he didn't have a cellphone to call with) and me up from Melissa's house. The drive home was hilarious... 'nuff said! Once at home I visited with my Aunt Mary for several hours and finally found my way to bed about 3:00am.

Saturday. First one up believe it or not and after a quick shower and breakfast I was off to Matt's house to put on the zuit suit and proceed onto the Paine Art Center which is where the wedding was planned for. The wedding was short but good. With all this wedding fever in the air I began getting nervous about my own wedding coming up.
After the wedding and picture we proceeded in a long senic drive through Oshkosh care of Doug so that we could be as obnoxious as possible driving the newly married couple to the reception and scaring away any demons that might be lerking.
The recpetion was held at La Sure's Banquet Hall. When we arrived I was getting quit hungry and was disappointed to find the Hors D'oeuvres were already consumed. Anyway, dinner didn't take too long since I was at the head table. The only problem with dinner was the fruit cup that I wasn't a huge fan of to begin with seemed to fill itself and the traffic congestion will the food being past to the end of the table where I was sat.
The remaining part of the eveing was a great time. I was well enough to party it up (without drinking) and celebarte their marrage. Pictures are available Here but may need to be resized.

Sunday morning up and out the door with a quick stop to drop off my tux and off to Milwaukee. Trip down to Milwaukee was no problem and then I began my job as Shafer Bus driver since I wasn't planning on drinking and was more comfortable driving than Melissa's mother.
We got to the church with barely any time to spare but then had to guide Aunt Lynn to the church over the phone. The ceremony took a bit to get under way, but I guess that's normal. I got to escort Grandpa to his seat as the family entered the church. The church was beautiful, there was a 3-piece orchestra that played during the entire ceremony. Unfortunately the microphones didn't work or weren't on and the orchestra kinda drowneded out the speakers. In any case it was a very nice service.
After the service we were going to go and hang out with everyone that was staying at the Ambassador Hotel, but I decided to take the scenic tour of Milwuakee and we decided to go straight to the reception. The reception was held at the Wisconsin Club which was very nice. We had a lovely dinner and then entertainment was provided by a live band and a DJ. The DJ didn't have a few requested tunes so I donated my laptop which they hooked up to their equipment.
After the reception/dance we had a little entertainment by watching Aunt Jenny who had a bit too much fun and then later Debbie and I we entertained by the passengers in the Shafer Bus! Melissa provided her normal drunk'n directions home and we made it back to the hotel. A quick nap listening to the snoring of others and it was Monday morn.

Melissa and I volunteered to take back the tuxes since we knew Milwaukee better and Shaun and Jenny were in a hurry to get home. Melissa and I proceeded to her parents house where I attempted a quick nap before we headed off to our engagement party.

The engagement party.was a great time until it ended at 11:00 or should I say took a turn for the worse. I think I'd rather say it ended at 11:00 and someone elses party started. A very special thanks to Andrea for all her hard work, planning, and thoughfullness in planning the party. Dan, we thank you too... kinda...

..... YAWN!!!!.... anyone getting tired yet. Christ, this is my 3 or 4th time writing this.

Okay, JULY 4th! Happy Freak'n New Years... I'm mean Independance Day! That's about how I felt at this point. I was so tired with everything going on. Lets just refresh your memory. Fri-Sun camping and wheeling. Sun-Wed sick and in/out of the hospital, Thrus. fly home, Friday visit with family and friends, wedding rehursal, rehursal dinner, watching my dad in true form, visit with my Aunt and bed at 3am. Saturday, Matt's wedding bed around 1 or 2. Sunday Melissa's brother's wedding, bed at 3am. Monday engagement party bed at 3am. Tuesday 4th of July with Melissa's family and bed sometime early... kinda. Wednesday fly home... I'm not going there. and... and... that it's I'm done with this one!
