Okay, on with the blogging. Today I got the Zuk past the Virginia Safety Inspection. The inspection looks over your vehicle for many different safty criteria. Coming from Wisconsin and doing all my car maint I find it to be a PITA. Overall, however, I find that it's a good idea. So what happens in a safety inspection? First of all, as I mentioned above they look at many different safty criteria. If your vehicle passes all of the criteria the shop can charge you up to $15 and they give you a sticker showing that you past. This needs to be done yearly. If you do not pass you get a regetion sticker which is basically a white sticker marked REJECTED with a red cirle with a line through it. I can't believe I don't have a picture of one since both the X and the Zuk failed the first time.
The inspection people can tell you anything and get away with it which really bothers me. The first time I took my X in they told me I needed to remove all the stickers on my windshield (my state and national forest ones), all the "crap" on my dash, my fog lights since one was burnt out, and my night rider light. They followed this up with saying that I could put them back and that I didn't need to disconnect them, just hang them over the dash. This furriated me, since one, they put a sticker one, two the vehicle don't NEED fog lights to be "safe", and three they really didn't care. I'm sure you can only guess what other stuff they try and pull

Anyway I'm getting off the subject. So the Zuk is 100% offical. I have plates, insurance, and a past inspection sticker. The only thing left is a sticker from the county saying I paid my taxes. Funny thing is they give you the sticker, then bill you for the tax.

This weekend we just might damage something on the zuk wheel'n but none-to-worry, I don't have to get another inspection for 1 full year.

Hopefully this blog entry was better and more informative for the less than one person that probably reads this. Sure, I don't have a comments section, nor do I put my e-mail address on the site.
