SUBJECT: The World of Job Searching

Finishing up getting my blog working it appears that the only thing left to do is make the input form. Nonetheless I figured I would manually add an entry and test this bastard out, so here goes: Today I had a meeting with AppleOne, a local temp agency. I found out about them by applying to a job on Monster.com and used thier website to schedule myself an appointment for today. The appointment went as expected. I wasn't impress by the video and test they had me take. The computer seemed to be early Win98 or even Win95 so the quality of the video and test were not the best. In anycase I finished that up, filled out the goobs of paperwork and sat down to meet with Tanrsha (sp?) who seemed quite impressed with my skills. Write that down as a first in Virginia. We had a lovely chat that made me feel positive about the experience but only time will tell. Upon getting home and eating lunch I checked my e-mail to find an e-mail letting me know about a job offer, not from AppleOne, but another client of Monster.com. It appeared to be something I could do so I responded to the e-mail and attached my resume per thier request. To my astonishment I rec'd a call about 5mins later to ask me what my pay requirements were and they she would be submitting my resume. WOW Anyways, off to the gym for me. We're paying for it... better get our use out of it.
